Wa-Hi-Nasa is proud to recognize its members for their dedication and service to the Scouting program and the lodge. From recognizing those who have never held an official position to those who served the lodge in various capacities over their lifetime, the lodge has a number of internal and nationally recognized awards to bestow upon its members.

First-Year Arrowman Award
Any newly-inducted Arrowman can earn this award within the first year of their membership by completing the listed requirements. This award encourages new Arrowmen to get involved with the OA and to give service back to their unit.
The Vigil Honor
The Vigil Honor is bestowed upon members who show excellence in service towards the lodge, council, camp, and Scouting in general. Preference is given for service performed as a youth member of the Order, although both youth and adults may be recognized with the Vigil Honor. Eligible nominees must be registered, active members of the lodge who have continued in service to others for a minimum of two years from the date of their Brotherhood ceremony. The Founder’s Award
This award, given by the National Committee of the Order of the Arrow, is bestowed to Arrowmen who exemplify the qualities of the Spirit of Achievement, as described by founder, E. Urner Goodman. More information about this award can be found here. This nomination is due by the Saturday evening of Fall Fellowship.
Tom Parker Memorial Award for Excellence in Camp Promotions
This award is presented to a member for outstanding contributions to the camp promotions program on the chapter or council level. This nomination is due by October 16th.
Unsung Arrowman Award
The award is presented to a youth member of the lodge who has given up their time and efforts without ever holding a lodge position. This member will have attended 80% of Wa-Hi-Nasa’s lodge events for the past two years. This nomination is due by October 16th.
Excellence in Ceremonies Award
This award is presented to a youth who demonstrates excellence in ceremonies through regular service at district and lodge events. This nomination is due by October 16th.
Josh Sain Memorial Award
This award, previously known as the Allogagon, is presented for exceptional service to the lodge. It was named in memory of former Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge Chief Josh Sain who was tragically killed in 1997 while serving as the Order’s National Vice Chief. This nomination is due by October 16th.
Elangomat Belt Buckle
This Belt Buckle is awarded automatically at the Winter Banquet.
Any Arrowman can earn this by serving as an Elangomat five times.
Kitchen Belt Buckle
This Belt Buckle is awarded automatically at the Winter Banquet.
Any Arrowman can earn this by serving in the kitchen five times.
Trading Post Belt Buckle
This Belt Buckle is bestowed at the discretion of the Trading Post Chair to those who have served in the Trading Post at lodge events.
Ceremonies Belt Buckle
This Belt Buckle is awarded automatically at the Winter Banquet.
Youth Requirements
Demonstrate, through performance, a thorough grasp of the essentials on how to conduct an effective ceremony.
Know a complete part of a principle in an official ceremony of the Order of the Arrow. Ceremonies may be Pre-Ordeal, Ordeal, or Brotherhood.
Perform, as part of a ceremonies team, in least eight ceremonies. Ceremonies may be Pre-Ordeal, Ordeal, or Brotherhood.
Adult Requirements
Serve a minimum of 30 hours with the lodge ceremonies committee.

This Belt Buckle is awarded automatically at the Winter Banquet.
Any Arrowman can earn this by serving on registration staff five times.
Service Crew Belt Buckle
This Belt Buckle is awarded automatically at the Winter Banquet.
Any Arrowman can earn this by serving as part of service crew five times.
