Induction Weekends

Staffing induction weekend is a meaningful way to provide service to the lodge and engage with new members. There are many different areas to serve in such as kitchen, service crew, member crew, elangomat, and ceremonies. There truly is an area for everyone to serve in. We hope to see you there!

 85th Anniversary patch

Get yours now! For the 85th Anniversary of the Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge, a patch set was released to showcase all events in the year. Each of the patches come together to display a reflection in the windows of the iconic Howard B Olson OA Lodge Building at Boxwell Reservation. National Order of the Arrow Conference

Only a few spots are left for NOAC 2024, taking place July 29 to August 3rd, and we would love for you to join our contingent. NOAC is the preeminent Scouting experience, with over 6,000 OA members coming together at the University of Colorado. Come spend a week in Boulder, CO with us as we take training from some of the most experienced OA members from around the country, compete in various intramural sports such as ultimate frisbee, flag football, 3 v. 3 basketball, and watch evening shows that would rival a Broadway play. Vigil Honor Nominations

The Vigil Honor is bestowed upon members who show excellence in service towards the lodge, council, camp, and Scouting. Any Lodge member may submit a nomination to any other eligible member. It is Important that members consider nominating someone this year. Vigil requires a minimum of 2 years of service after the date of their Brotherhood ceremony. Please submit nominations by 6pm Saturday of August Induction Weekend. Fill out nominations here. Any questions please contact vigil@wa-hi-nasa.org

Winter Camp Staff Interest Form

Want to staff winter camp? Now is the time to fill out your winter camp staff interest form. The theme this year is Galactic Frontier. All OA members are eligible to serve on staff. Applicants will be contacted to confirm their service after completing application.

Membership Renewal 

Have you paid your dues? The Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge is putting together many fun events this year and we would love to see you there! Click here to pay your yearly dues to be able to attend our amazing lodge events. Here is just some of what we have to offer.

Conclave

Have you been missing some fellowship in your life? Do you want to travel to the great unknown? Conclave 2024 is just the event for you! Head on up to Camp McKee in Jeffersonville, Kentucky on April 19-21 to hang out with cryptids such as the Loch Ness Monster and BigFoot. Friday night starts the event with fellowship within the lodge. Saturday morning is all about training, but then the fun really starts. Saturday afternoon we have the chance to compete in the Quest for the Golden Arrow in the Lodge vs. Lodge games! Saturday night we have the annual campfire, where we will showcase awards, have fun music, and exciting skits! Sunday morning we have the election of our new E3 leadership! There will be exciting swag at the trading post along with snacks available throughout the weekend! How do I get there? Kentucky is a good couple hours drive, so we have a carpool system! There will be a link emailed to a Spreadsheet with adults willing to take youth soon! We do hope you’ll experience this unique event with arrowmen from our whole section! Only a few spots are left for NOAC 2024, taking place July 29 to August 3rd, and we would love for you to join our contingent. NOAC is the preeminent Scouting experience, with over 6,000 Arrowmen coming together at the University of Colorado. Come spend a week in Boulder, CO with us as we take training from some of the most experienced arrowmen from around the country, compete in various intramural sports such as ultimate frisbee, flag football, 3 v. 3 basketball, and watch evening shows that would rival a Broadway play. Spring Summit Recap

Spring Summit 2024 was a massive success with 165 people registered for the event! 6 trainings were offered Saturday morning where participants could learn skills about things from leadership, chapters, and service.  We had Arrowmen from the whole council come to represent their chapter in the chapter Vs. chapter games. The prize was the Wa-Hi-Nasa Belt of Glory which was won by Chickamauga! Finally, we ended the night with our Christmas party to round off an exciting weekend.

Summer Camp

Have you ever had an incredible experience at a summer camp? This summer at Boxwell you have the opportunity to provide that amazing experience to Scouts from all over our council and beyond. As an OA member you also are able to attend the summer camp cracker barrels every Wednesday at 7:30PM at summer camp regardless if you’re attending camp!

Unit elections are now open until summer camp! If you are a unit leader make sure to fill out the request form here. If you know a unit leader that has not scheduled an election please make the effort and reach out, share this link https://wa-hi-nasa.org/unit-elections/ .The more unit elections we have the more we get to grow our order!

This is our annual fellowship and training event! Join us for good food and trainings that cover all kinds of leadership and OA topics! Sledding with a Yeti sounds fun! Or maybe swimming with the Loch Ness Monster? What about backpacking with Big Foot? We may not be able to do these things in reality, but we might be able to get pretty close! Conclave 2024 is all about these mythical creatures! But, we also have so much more!  Come out to Camp McKee in Jeffersonville, Kentucky on April 19th-21st  to experience these amazing creatures. Compete with Wa-Hi-Nasa in the Quest Games against other lodges and meet fellow arrowmen from across 4 states in our section! Sign up at https://wa-hi-nasa.org/events/conclave/

Join the Lodge Leadership Team for 2024!

Are you interested in getting involved in amazing leadership activities with the Lodge? These range from running an event, making publications, being a part of service, and even running this very website.

You can get involved by filling out this form and submitting your information to join the Lodge Executive Committee for 2024!

Adults (21+) can also fill out this form to show interest in mentoring these youth in their chair positions.

Chair Positions are Described Below:

  • Winter Camp – Run the once-a-year MTCBSA Winter Camp at Boxwell
  • Vigil – Lead the lodge’s vigil team to select and honor members with the highest honor in the OA (Must be a Vigil honor member)
  • Construction – Plan and execute construction projects for the lodge
  • Spring Shindig – Plan and run the lodge spring training event
  • Conclave – Coordinate the lodge’s contingent to the E3 Section Conclave
  • Cracker Barrels – Plan and run the four summer camp cracker barrels at the lodge on Wednesday nights
  • Fall Fellowship – Plan and execute the lodge’s fall fellowship event
  • Winter Banquet – Plan and run the end-of-year lodge celebration banquet
  • Induction Weekends – Plan and execute both of the Induction Weekends at Boxwell where new members join
  • Elangomat – Coordinate and train Elangomats to serve at both Induction Weekends
  • Brotherhood – Coordinate the elevation of members to the Brotherhood honor (Must be a Brotherhood or Vigil honor member)
  • Kitchen – Run the kitchen at all four events at Boxwell and serve up amazing food
  • Ceremonies – Coordinate the lodge’s ceremonies teams to conduct ceremonies at events (Must be a Brotherhood or Vigil honor member)
  • Service Crew – Manage the behind-the-scenes team that helps make events happen
  • Unit Elections – Help the Chapter Chiefs schedule and conduct unit elections at the local level to allow new members to join the OA
  • Unit Relations – Help establish positive relationships between the OA and units in the Council
  • Flying Eagle – Publish newsletters that go out to all the lodge members
  • Website – Manage the website and lodge’s Google account
  • Social Media – Run the lodge’s Facebook and Instagram
  • eNews – Publish monthly emails with Lodge news that go out to every lodge member
  • New Member Guide – Publish the guide for all new members to receive after their induction
  • Slack – Manage the lodge’s Slack workspace
  • Trading Post – Create and sell new items in the lodge trading post
  • Awards – Manage the selection committees and procurement of awards for the lodge Winter Banquet
  • Registration – Manage the lodge registration team at events
