Summer Camp Cracker Barrels

Hello all fellow lodge members! We are so excited to see you all at our final Boxwell summer camp OA Cracker Barrel night. This year’s Cracker Barrels are Christmas themed. There will be a best in show contest for best Christmas costume and a dutch oven contest you can participate in. We’ll be having festive fellowship on Wednesday night at 7:45 pm at the OA Lodge on July 3rd!! Visitors to Boxwell must sign in at the Crab upon arrival.

Vigil Honor Nominations

The Vigil Honor is bestowed upon members who show excellence in service towards the lodge, council, camp, and Scouting. Vigil requires a minimum of 2 years of service after the date of their Brotherhood ceremony. Any lodge member may submit a nomination for any eligible member who meets that criteria. It is Important that members consider nominating someone this year. Please submit nominations by 6pm Saturday of August Induction Weekend. Fill out nominations here. Winter camp is one of the most important ways we serve our council and is an opportunity for everyone to see what our lodge can do. June Induction Weekend Recap

June Induction Weekend was a resounding success. 142 candidates and 121 members were in attendance this JIW. Thanks to the hard work of the candidates and members, the Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge was able to provide outstanding service to Boxwell. Some highlights include completely setting up Camp Craig and completing a minimum of 90% of Cubworld and Stahlman. Member / Construction crew were able to do several tasks for Boxwell and for the lodge. Through the hard work of everyone in attendance, JIW was a success and meaningful service was provided to Boxwell and to the lodge.

Summer Camp Cracker Barrels

We are so excited to get things kicked off in just a couple weeks at our Boxwell summer camp Order the Arrow Cracker Barrel nights!

We’ll be singing Christmas Carols every Wednesday night at 7:45 pm at the OA Lodge. And we’re bringing back ICE CREAM!!

We cannot wait to see you all there and to fellowship among other OA members from all around the country!!

Camp Promotions

Attention, lodge members! Has your unit gone on an awesome adventure that you’d love to share for more scouts to enjoy? Section E3 Conclave Recap

The 2024 E3 Section Conclave was an absolute blast! The lodge contingent was able to participate in morning training, patch trading, afternoon activities, and the annual Quest games, where our Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge youth participated in fun games such as 9 square, a puzzle relay race, and tug-of-war. We are so happy we were able to see one of our very own Hannah Neal be elected as our new E3 Section Vice-Chief! We can’t wait to see everyone and how Conclave plays out next year!

Membership Renewal 

Have you paid your dues? The Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge is putting together many fun events this year and we would love to see you there! Click here to pay your yearly dues to be able to attend our amazing lodge events. Here is just some of what we have to offer.

Conclave

Have you been missing some fellowship in your life? Do you want to travel to the great unknown? Conclave 2024 is just the event for you! Head on up to Camp McKee in Jeffersonville, Kentucky on April 19-21 to hang out with cryptids such as the Loch Ness Monster and BigFoot. Friday night starts the event with fellowship within the lodge. Saturday morning is all about training, but then the fun really starts. Saturday afternoon we have the chance to compete in the Quest for the Golden Arrow in the Lodge vs. Lodge games! Saturday night we have the annual campfire, where we will showcase awards, have fun music, and exciting skits! Sunday morning we have the election of our new E3 leadership! There will be exciting swag at the trading post along with snacks available throughout the weekend! How do I get there? Kentucky is a good couple hours drive, so we have a carpool system! There will be a link emailed to a Spreadsheet with adults willing to take youth soon! We do hope you’ll experience this unique event with arrowmen from our whole section! Spring Summit Recap

Spring Summit 2024 was a massive success with 165 people registered for the event! 6 trainings were offered Saturday morning where participants could learn skills about things from leadership, chapters, and service.  We had Arrowmen from the whole council come to represent their chapter in the chapter Vs. chapter games. The prize was the Wa-Hi-Nasa Belt of Glory which was won by Chickamauga! Finally, we ended the night with our Christmas party to round off an exciting weekend.

Summer Camp

Have you ever had an incredible experience at a summer camp? This summer at Boxwell you have the opportunity to provide that amazing experience to Scouts from all over our council and beyond. Winter Banquet Recap

What an amazing night at MTSU. With approximately 200 in attendance, the Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge held its yearly Winter Banquet. 60 individual awards were handed out to lodge members and chapters. The 2023 Lodge Officers and Advisers were recognized and the 2024 officers and LEC sworn in.

The premier national OA  event is the National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC). A large university campus hosts it every two years, and up to 8,000 Arrowmen from all 50 states attend. In terms of scale and scope, it is only surpassed by the BSA National Jamboree. The University of Colorado Boulder will host NOAC in 2024 from July 29 to August 3! ArrowCorps 111

ArrowCorps 111 occurred on October 21st, 2023 at Parish Scout Reservation. Over 60 members came out to give service to a council camp. A shortlist of service includes: a new orienteering course, fixed walking trails, and more! Thank you  to all the members who gave cheerful service!

Imagine hiking through some of the same territories as Waite Phillips, Dr. Goodman and other noteworthy Scouting figures. Imagine forming a team, coming into an experience as strangers, but leaving as friends for a lifetime. Few people get to experience the world’s natural beauty and understand what true fellowship is all about. This summer, the Order of the Arrow invites you to this rare occasion and to participate in the OA High Adventure program.

Awards

Wa-Hi-Nasa proudly recognizes its members’ dedication and service to the Scouting program and the lodge. From recognizing those who have never held an official position to those who served the lodge in various capacities over their lifetime, the lodge has a number of internal and nationally recognized awards to bestow upon its members. Please consider nominating Arrowmen for the many different awards offered.

ArrowCorps

ArrowCorps 111 is happening on October 21! This will be a one day conservation project, including the construction of an orienteering course, taking place at Camp Parish, with the idea of giving back service to the reservations we love and use in our council. A limited edition flap as well as lunch will be available for those that are registered and willing to participate. Cutoff to sign-up is October 10th. Registration is available here!

Fall Fellowship

During the weekend of September 15 – 17, over 200 Arrowmen united at Boxwell for a ‘Fast Fall Fellowship.’ During this jam-packed racing-themed weekend, participants had the opportunity to race RC Cars, take their picture with a classic DeLorean, build Hot Wheels racing tracks, work towards Automotive Maintenance merit badge, and have a Pinewood Derby – just to name a few of the activities!

Also at Fall Fellowship the lodge elected the 2024 officer team.Congratulations to our

NOAC 2024 at the University of Colorado

The National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is the flagship national Order of the Arrow event. It is held every two years at a major university campus and is attended by as many as 8,000 Arrowmen from all 50 states. It is second only to the BSA National Jamboree in size and scope.
